In 2013, Mrs. Paschall obtained national certification as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant, CLNC®, and founded Paschall Medical Legal Consulting. Throughout her personal life and professional career, she has been committed to excellence and has consistently demonstrated her unique ability to rapidly excel and become a leader in her chosen field. As both a certified nurse practitioner with twenty years of clinical experience and a legal nurse consultant, she has an invaluable skill set that will continue to propel her toward success. She lives her life striving to be authentic, compassionate and challenged because "happiness is not something you postpone for the future, it is something you design for the present,"-Vickie Millazo.
Mrs. Paschall has had unique life experiences that have shaped her tenacious personality and contributed to her broad view of the world. As a young child, she spent several years in Panama, Central America, where her father worked for the United States government. Those years gave her an intense appreciation for different cultures. As an undergraduate in 1991, she did a semester abroad in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she was able to witness firsthand the opening of international borders and the ideological transition of a nation. Her most influential commitment was living in Central Africa from 1993-1997 as a Peace Corps Health Volunteer in Cameroon. Assimilating into a remote village and working on a Maternal-Child Survival Project in this developing third world country, enabled her to build strong Public Health, communication and language skills. Mrs. Paschall has an in-depth cross-cultural understanding rare among her peers. Most importantly, these adventures solidified her passion to help improve the lives of others.
Mrs. Paschall is a 1992 Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She attended Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing as a Peace Corps Fellow and National Health Service Corps Scholar and Scholarship recipient. She graduated from Johns Hopkins Summa Cum Laude in 1999 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Summa Cum Laude in 2001 with her Masters in Nursing. Mrs. Paschall has been Board Certified in Family Practice from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, ANCC, since 2001 and holds certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). In 2013, she attended the Vickie Milazzo Institute and completed her National Certification exam for Legal Nurse Consulting. She is conversational in French and Spanish.
Mrs. Paschall has held RN positions in a busy, urban Emergency Department, as well as in Home Care with Johns Hopkins Home Health. As a Nurse Practitioner, she worked for seven years as a Family Practice Provider in a rural Florida Community Health Center where she primarily treated migrant workers and the uninsured. While there, she precepted medical students and served as adjunct faculty for Nova South Eastern University. Mrs. Paschall also spent seven years in Private Practice with a well- respected Family Physician in Vero Beach, Florida. Ms. Paschall spent seven years working in Outpatient Ocular Surgery Center as the Preoperative Clearance Coordinator, as well as a part time provider in an Urgent Care facility, recently rated best in Indian River County. In 2014, she completed training and passed the national exam to become a Certified DOT Medical Examiner for the Federal Department of Transportation. In May 2020, she joined a House Calls practice called Mobile Medical Associates and provides Primary Care, Urgent Care and Transitional Care to Medically Needy homebound patients. In addition, her current position includes conducting provider chart audits, writing practice protocols and designing and facilitating NP Training.
George Bernard Shaw once said, "Progress is impossible without change". Mrs. Paschall decided it was time to branch out into a more stimulating direction. Although she plans to continue taking care of patients, she was in need of a new professional challenge. Consulting utilizes both her communication and research skills, as well as her extensive medical training and education. Establishing Paschall Medical Legal Consulting, has enabled her to continue to educate and empower her patients and colleagues.
